In November 2019, André Kern signed the “Diversity Charter” (Charta der Vielfalt) on behalf of Kern GmbH, sending a clear signal in favor of diversity and tolerance within the company. By signing the charter, we demonstrate our commitment to creating a work environment free from prejudice, where respecting all employees—regardless of sex and gender identity, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, and identity—is fundamental to us.

Diversity is a hallmark of Kern GmbH. In addition to Germany, employees from a dozen other nations work here. Over a quarter of our 100+ employees have a migration background or live in neighboring France. Cultural backgrounds range from Italy, Russia, and Poland to Syria, Vietnam, and Mexico. Five employees with severe disabilities, including four who are deaf, are integral members of our team. We actively work to overcome barriers, linguistic or otherwise. We see this diversity as an opportunity: from our youngest apprentices to our most experienced colleagues, everyone contributes their unique strengths to our shared success.

Ultimately, these strengths help us stand out from our competitors and position our products and services effectively in both national and international markets. Due to our central location in Europe, our client base includes not only companies from the Greater Region and the Benelux countries but also partners in non-EU countries, such as Switzerland.

We are delighted to be part of Germany’s largest diversity network and look forward to fostering and shaping diversity together with our employees.
