ISO 14001 Environmental Management

  • DDIN EN ISO 14001:2015
  • Implemented since: 2014
  • Reg. No.: 2/2023040408
  • Valid until: 15.05.2029

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard for environmental management systems. First published in 1996, it defines requirements that enable companies to promote sustainable environmental protection within their operations. The primary goal is to mitigate negative environmental impacts. To achieve this, binding ""compliance obligations"" are identified through an assessment of risks and opportunities related to environmental aspects, objectives, and voluntary commitments.

Since 2014, Kern has operated an environmental management system according to EMAS III (EU Eco-Audit). As ISO 14001 requirements are an integral part of EMAS, they are automatically met through EMAS certification. The ISO 14001 certificate remains valid for a period of three years.
