Reach customers effectively with direct mailing: Few other media have secured their place in marketing and sales as successfully in recent years. Personalized text and image content is increasingly added for individual communication.

Unlike electronic advertising formats, direct mailings do not end up in spam filters. They provide higher-quality visual and tactile perception through a wide range of design options (e.g., special coatings, embossing, and die-cutting).

With or without envelopes

At Kern, direct mailings up to DIN C4 format are processed on two inserting machines, each with a performance of 14,000 cycles per hour. Mail items with a total product thickness of up to 15 mm can be inserted. A special feature is intelligent inserting: personalized addresses are read by camera and automatically checked against the database. This allows selective processing and inserting of different, including personalized, enclosures. It also ensures that every mailing is sent.

The selfmailer dispenses with a separate envelope – the printed mailing has an adhesive closure and serves simultaneously as a sleeve and advertising space. This not only saves paper and postage weight but also makes the message stand out immediately. In selfmailer production, Kern GmbH relies on a proven hybrid process. Printing is done in sheet-fed offset with inline processing such as die-cutting, perforating, and creasing directly in the print run. Afterwards, the sheets are personalized on both sides in black-and-white laser print at offset quality. Alternatively, mailings can be printed entirely in full-color digital print with fully variable data. All lettershop services, up to postal delivery, are performed in-house.
